BASKETball Team Registration

for the 

SPRING 2024 Season

is OPEN!

This registration session will allow you to complete contact information, sign up for participation and complete payment.

Please read through each page carefully to ensure that all information is provided accurately. 

WELCOME TO THE SPRING 2024 SEASON

Coaches now have the option to register their team!

• The Coach, or team manager, is able to register each player to their team - this ensures each player is registered to the correct location and age division and is guaranteed to be placed on the team!
• Your team can register their name and their team color!
• By completing a team registration, all players will receive a $10 discount off the current registration fee.
• All registered teams are placed into a competitive division to compete against other registered teams for more competition when available. These teams will play for the Championship Title at the end of the season!
  • We are excited to be offering this option after having multiple teams registering each season! In the event that there are not enough teams in the competitive age division you have registered for, your team will be placed with other teams within the age division.  

Coaches

You will be registering each of your players to build your team, you will need the following information from each player to complete your team's registration:

• Player Full Name
• Player Birthdate
• Player Shirt Size
• Guardian Email Address
• Guardian Phone Number

Basketball Team Count 

The team registration pricing is per player registered; you will need a minimum of 8 players.

Pricing for U6, U8 & U10 Divisions:

•December 21 - January 30 - Early Registration: $60/player, $30 for the coach's player

•January 31 - February 12 - Normal Registration: $70/player, $35 for the coach's player

•February 13 - February 21 - Late Registration: $80/player/player, $40 for the coach's player

Pricing for U12 & U14 Divisions:

•December 21 - January 30 - Early Registration: $65/player, $32.50 for the coach's player

•January 31 - February 12 - Normal Registration: $75/player, $37.50 for the coach's player

•February 13 - February 21 - Late Registration: $85/player, $42.50 for the coach's player

SportsEngine 

​​AZ Youth Sports has partnered with SportsEngine to more effectively manage the communication between the league and the teams and the parents.

Please be sure you have downloaded the SportsEngine App - you will receive an email from SportsEngine when your child has been assigned to their team and you will be able to view their roster and communication with the team through the App.

• Gilbert - Mesquite Junior High & South Valley Junior High (tbd)
  • These locations will serve most of Gilbert and also Chandler families north of the 202.
• East Mesa - ​​Desert Ridge Junior High & Highland Junior High (tbd)
  • These locations will serve all East Mesa
• Central/North Mesa - Franklin at Brimhall Elementary School & Poston Junior High (tbd)
  • These locations will serve North and Central Mesa and many East Gilbert families
• Queen Creek & San Tan Valley - Newell Barney Junior High & Queen Creek Middle School (tbd)
  • These locations will host games for teams from Queen Creek and San Tan Valley
• Chandler - Payne Junior High (tbd)
  • This location will host games for teams mostly from Chandler

• March 15 - Rosters Released
• March 23 - Coaches' Clinic
• March 30 - Game Schedule Released
• April 6 - Games Begin
• April 13 - Games
• April 20 - Games
• April 27 - Games
• May 4 - Games
• May 11 - Final Game Day, Playoffs*
• May 18 - Championship Games*

*Please use each player's age on December 31, 2023 for division placement*

BASKETBALL AGE GROUPS:

• Age Divisions – 4-5, 6-7, 8-9*, 10-11*, 12-13*

*This age division participates in a tournament

Please note - players are able to play up one age division but not down.  Parents and coaches are allowed to make Age Check Requests.  When they submit a request, the league will contact the parents of the child and request a birth certificate or other form of identification.

SPORTS EQUIPMENT REQUIRED BY PARENTS:

• Equipment – Mouthguard (recommended), athletic shorts/pants, athletic shoes and a basketball.

Team shirts are provided to all players and must be worn in order to participate on game days.

REFUND POLICY:

Full team refunds may be issued if requested in writing BEFORE rosters are released on March 15, 2024.

Team will be refunded as a whole.

Processing Fees are non-refundable.
