REGISTRATION FOR THE

SUMMER 2024 SEASON

This registration session allows you to complete contact information, sign up for participation, and submit payment.

Please read through each page carefully to ensure that all information is provided accurately.

Coaches! Don't forget about Team Registrations! Register your team and keep your players together!

• Register your team at one time to guarantee your players will stay together for the season!
• This enables the coach to keep the team together and register for your team's name and team color!
• Where available, your team is placed within a more competitive division to compete against other returning teams for the Championship Title!

REGISTRATION SCHEDULE:

• $50-$80 - Early Registration (April 8 - May 6)
• $60-$90 - Registration (​May 7 - June 3)
• $70-$100 - Late Registration (​June 4 - June 25)

• May 7 - June 3 ​​- Normal Registration
• June 4 - June 25 - Late Registration
• June 25 - Last Day to Register
• Registration will be closed on June 26th!
• July 12 - Rosters Released
• July 20 - Coaches Clinic
• August 3 - Games Begin
• August 10 - Game Day
• August 17- Game Day
• August 24 - Game Day
• August 31 - No Games!
• September 7 - Game Day
• September 14 - Final Game Day, Playoffs*
• September 21 - Championship Games*

*Tournament Divisions Only

GAME DAY LOCATIONS - Pending :

• Gilbert & Chandler 
  • Mesquite Junior High School
  • South Valley Junior High School
    • These locations will serve most of Gilbert and also Chandler families north of the 202.
• East Mesa
  • ​Desert Ridge Junior High School
  • Gateway Polytechnic Academy 
  • Highland Junior High
    • These locations will serve all East Mesa and many East Gilbert families.
• Central/North Mesa
  • Franklin at Brimhall Elementary School
  • Poston Junior High
    • These locations will serve North and Central Mesa
• Queen Creek & San Tan Valley
  • Newell Barney Junior High School
  • Queen Creek Middle School
    • These locations will host games for teams from Queen Creek and San Tan Valley
• Chandler
  • Payne Junior High School
    • This location will host games for teams mostly from Chandler

DIVISIONS & AGE GROUPS:

NEW Girls/Boys only divisions offered!!

• Volleyball
  • Co-Ed: ages 7-9*
  • Co-Ed/Boys: ages 10-11*, 12-14*

• Basketball
  • Co-Ed: ages 4-5, 6-7, 8-9* 
  • Co-Ed/Girls: ages 8-9*, 10-11*, 12-13*

* We use your child's age on December 31, 2023 for division placement *

Please note - players are able to play up one age division but not down.  Parents and coaches are allowed to make Age Check Requests.  When they submit a request, the league will contact the parents of the child and request a birth certificate or other form of identification.

PRACTICE TIMES & LOCATIONS:

• All Coaches are parent volunteers. Practice times and locations are arranged at the coach's discretion. Each team practices when and where they choose. Practices are generally held outside.
• Each player is responsible for providing their own equipment; i.e., soccer ball, volleyball, basketball etc...
• *AZYS does not provide teams with practice locations

GAME PLAY FORMAT:

• Basketball – Tournament style (beginner to advanced), Rec style for younger divisions.
  • Co-ed and Girls only divisions.
• Volleyball – Tournament style (beginner to advanced).
  • Co-ed and Boys only divisions.

EQUIPMENT REQUIRED BY PARENTS:

• Basketball – Mouthguard (recommended), athletic shorts/pants, athletic shoes and a basketball.
• Volleyball – Knee pads (highly recommended, athletic shorts/pants, athletic shoes and a volleyball.

Team shirts are provided to all players and must be worn in order to participate on game days.

Please view the rules for the appropriately sized ball needed for your player.

COACHES:

All coaches are parent volunteers, we are always looking for coaches. Please consider volunteering to coach your child's team!

TRAVEL GAMES:

Many teams will play 1-2 away games during the season.  All games are in the East Valley.

REFUND POLICY:

Registration refunds may be issued if requested in writing BEFORE rosters are released, July 12, 2024.

Processing Fees are non-refundable.

Credits may be issued once rosters are released if requested in writing BEFORE , July 26, 2024.
