Spring Season Waitlist

This registration session will allow you to complete contact information and sign up for participation. An invoice will be emailed if a spot has been secured for your child.

**Please note that volunteering to coach will move you to the top of the waitlist!**

AZYS is offering Team Registration Options this Spring!

Available this Spring Season, your coach will be able to register your team as one registration to compete within a more competitive division!

Please consider registering your players as a team in an effort to keep them together - we cannot guarantee all coach and friend requests are honored unless a team is registered through a team registration.

• Register your team at one time to guarantee your players will stay together for the season!
• This enables the coach to keep the team together and register for your team's name and team color!
• Where available your team is placed within a more competitive division to compete against other returning teams for the Championship Title!

We have several Game Day Location options for you to choose from this Spring Season:

• Gilbert & Chandler: 
  • Mesquite Junior High School
  • South Valley Junior High School
    • These locations will serve most of Gilbert and also Chandler families north of the 202.
• East Mesa:
  • ​Desert Ridge Junior High School
  • Gateway Polytechnic Academy
    • These locations will serve all east Mesa and many East Gilbert families.
• Central/North Mesa:
  • Taylor Junior High School
  • Franklin Brimhall Junior High (Baseball/softball only)
    • These locations will serve North and Central Mesa
• Queen Creek & Chandler:
  • Newell Barney Junior High School
  • Payne Junior High School
    • These locations will host games for teams from Queen Creek, South Chandler and South Gilbert
• San Tan Valley:
  • J.O. Combs Middle School
    • This location will host games for teams from San Tan Valley and East Queen Creek

Practice locations and times will be determined by the coach, AZYS does not provide practice facilities. All Coaches are parent volunteers. Teams are formed by the closest school chosen during registration.

Spring 2020 Credits

The Spring 2020 Season was cancelled due to Covid-19. Every child that was registered for the Spring 2020 Season ​received a full credit for use in ANY future season in ANY year. You can also save this credit for ​another child in your family.

Your child will not be automatically enrolled in the next season that opens and you will need to email info@azyouthsports.org in order to have your child signed up with your applicable credit for the season of your choice.

• $70-$75 - Early registration (​January 9 - January 25)
• $80-$85 - Registration (​January 26 - February 8)
• $90-$95 - Late registration (​February 9 - February 19)

• Basketball – 4-5, 6-7, 8-9*, 10-11*, 12-13*
• Flag Football – 5-6*, 7-8*, 9-10*, 11-12**, 13-14**
• Soccer – 3, 4-5, 6-7, 8-9*, 10-12*
• Softball – 7-9, 10-12
• Volleyball – 7-9*, 10-11*, 12-14*

*This age division participants in a tournament*

**This age division will only be participating in our accelerated league**

* We use your child's age on March 31, 2023 for division placement *

PRACTICE TIMES & LOCATIONS:

• Practice times and locations are arranged at the coach's discretion. Each team practices when and where they choose. Practices are generally held outside.
• Each player is responsible for providing their own equipment; i.e., soccer ball, volleyball, basketball etc...
• *AZYS does not provide teams with practice locations

GAME PLAY FORMAT:

• Baseball/Softball – Rec style (beginner – intermediate). Baseball - co-ed/Softball all girls.
• Basketball – Tournament style (beginner to advanced), rec-style for younger divisions. Co-ed.
• Flag football – Tournament style (beginner to advanced). Co-ed.
• Soccer – Rec-style, Tournament style for older divisions only. Co-ed.
• Volleyball – Tournament style (beginner to advanced). Co-ed.

EQUIPMENT REQUIRED BY PARENTS:

• Baseball – pants/shorts, shoes, glove, batting helmet.
  • Bat and balls are optional.
• Basketball – mouthguard recommended, shoes, shorts, basketball.
• Flag Football – mouthguard required, pants/shorts, shoes, football.
  • Cleats are optional.
• Soccer – shin guards, shorts, shoes, soccer ball.
  • Cleats and soccer socks are optional.
• Softball – pants/shorts, shoes, glove, batting helmet.
  • Bat and balls are optional.
• Volleyball – knee pads, black shorts, shoes, volleyball.

Team Shirts (& hats for baseball/softball) are provided to all players.

Please view the rules for the appropriate sized ball needed for your player.

COACHES:

All Coaches are parent volunteer, we are always looking for coaches. Please consider volunteering to coach your child's team!

TRAVEL GAMES:

Many teams will play 1-2 away games during the season.  All games are in the East Valley.

REFUND POLICY:

Registration refunds may be issued if requested in writing BEFORE rosters are released, March 10, 2023.

Processing Fees are non-refundable.

Credits may be issued once rosters are released if requested in writing BEFORE March 24, 2023
