Registration for the

Spring 2021 Season

is open!

This registration session will allow you to complete contact information, sign up for participation, and submit payment.

Please read through each page carefully to ensure that all information is provided accurately. 

To complete registration through our secure site, please have your Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or ACH Bank Account information available.

We are so excited to be moving forward and we are looking forward to seeing your children on the courts and the fields!

Coaches will now have the option to register their team!

Available this Spring Season, your coach will be able to register your team as one registration to compete within a more competitive division!

• Register your team at one time to guarantee your players will stay together for the season!
• This enables the coach to keep the team together and register for your team's name and team color!
• Your team is placed within a more competitive division to compete against other returning teams for the Championship Title! 

• New age divisions! Flag Football has opened up an Under 13 (11-12 year olds) and an Under 15 (13-14 year olds) division. Basketball will now have an Under 12 (10-11 year olds) and an Under 14 (12-13 year olds) division.
  • There may be locations where we will need to merge the age divisions or locations if there is not enough interest in a particular area.
• New registration process with team apps! This will allow all families to download an app that will enable teams to communicate effectively and will also allow you to access league information and alerts. There will be a small processing fee applied at checkout by Sports Engine. 

​Covid-19

​​Thank you for your support through this unprecedented time! We understand that this has been difficult for everyone and we appreciate your patience.​ We are monitoring the COVID-19 situation and we do understand that many ​parents ​may have concerns!

We have your children's best interests in mind as we try to proceed! The schools currently do require that we follow all current CDC and school district Covid-19 guidelines.

• The Spring Season may require masks to worn and a spectator limitation for indoor/outdoor sports. Please refer to the current guidance in place as the polices can be updated throughout the season.

Locations

Practice locations and times will be determined by the coach, AZYS does not provide practice facilities. Teams are formed by the closest school chosen during registration.

Game locations for the Spring Season are as follows:

• Gilbert & Chandler - Mesquite Junior High
  • This location will serve most of Gilbert and also Chandler families north of the 202.
• East Mesa - ​​Desert Ridge Junior High
  • This location will serve all east Mesa and many East Gilbert families.
• Queen Creek & Chandler - Payne Junior High
  • This location will host games for teams from Queen Creek, South Chandler and South Gilbert

Spring 2020 Credits

Every child that was registered for the Spring 2020 Season ​receieved a full credit for use in ANY future season in ANY year. You can also save this credit for ​another child in your family.

Your child will not be automatically enrolled in the next season that opens and you will need to email info@azyouthsports.org in order to have your child signed up with your applicable credit for the season of your choice.

• Soccer - 3, 4-5, 6-7, 8-9*, 10-12*
• Flag Football - 5-6*, 7-8*, 9-10*, 11-12*, 13-14*
• Volleyball - 7-9*, 10-11*, 12-14*
• Basketball - 4-5, 6-7, 8-9*, 10-11*, 12-13*
• Baseball - 3-4, 5-6, 7-9, 10-12
• Girls Softball - 7-9, 10-12

*This age division participants in a tournament

PRACTICE TIMES & LOCATIONS:

• Practice times and locations are arranged at the coach's discretion. Each team practices when and where they choose. Practices are generally held outside.
• Each player is responsible for providing their own equipment; i.e., soccer ball, volleyball, basketball etc...
• *AZYS does not provide teams with practice locations

GAME PLAY FORMAT:

• Soccer - Rec-style, Tournament style for older divisions only
• Flag football - Tournament style (beginner to advanced)
• Volleyball - Tournament style (beginner to advanced)
• Basketball - Rec-style, Tournament style for older divisions only
• Baseball/Softball - Rec style (beginner - intermediate)

EQUIPMENT REQUIRED BY PARENTS:

• Soccer – shin guards, shorts, shoes, soccer ball. Cleats and soccer socks are optional.
• Flag Football - mouthguard required, pants/shorts, shoes, football. Cleats are optional.
• Volleyball - knee pads, black shorts, shoes, volleyball.
• Basketball - mouthguard recommended, shoes, shorts, basketball.
• Baseball - pants/shorts, shoes, glove, batting helmet. Bat and balls are optional.
• Girls Softball - pants/shorts, shoes, glove, batting helmet. Bat and balls are optional.

Team Shirts are provided to all players.

Hats are provided to Baseball/Softball only.

Please view the rules for the appropriate sized ball needed for your player.

COACHES:

We are always looking for parent coaches. Please consider volunteering to coach your child's team!

• The league will provide some equipment for some sports for practice
• Sample practices and playbooks are available to all coaches

TRAVEL GAMES:

Many teams will play 1-2 away games during the season.  These are generally within 5-8 miles away from your home game location. All games are in the East Valley.

REFUND POLICY:

Full refunds may be issues if requested in writing BEFORE rosters are released. From then on, only future credits are awarded.
