There is no charge to register for the waitlist and it is first come, first serve.

AZYS Staff will reach out to confirm that you would still like your child to be rostered to a team and send an invoice that must be processed to be assigned.

This registration session will allow you to complete contact information, sign up for participation, and submit payment.

Please read through each page carefully to ensure that all information is provided accurately.

AZYS is offering Team Registration Options this Spring!

Available this Spring season, your coach will be able to register your team as one registration to compete within a more competitive division!

Please consider registering your players as a team in an effort to keep them together - we cannot guarantee all coach and friend requests are honored unless a team is registered through a team registration.

• Register your team at one time to guarantee your players will stay together for the season!
• This enables the coach to keep the team together and register for your team's name and team color!
• Where available, your team is placed within a more competitive division to compete against other returning teams for the Championship Title!

We have several Game Day Location options for you to choose from this Spring Season:

• Gilbert & Chandler:

  • South Valley Junior High School (tbd)
    • These locations will serve most of Gilbert and also Chandler families north of the 202.
• East Mesa:
  • ​Desert Ridge Junior High School (tbd)
  • Highland Junior High (tbd)
    • These locations will serve all east Mesa and many East Gilbert families.
• Central/North Mesa:
  • Franklin at Brimhall Elementary School (tbd)
  • Poston Junior High (tbd)
    • These locations will serve North and Central Mesa
• Queen Creek & San Tan Valley:
  • Newell Barney Junior High School (tbd)
  • Queen Creek Middle School (tbd)
    • These locations will host games for teams from Queen Creek and San Tan Valley
• Chandler:
  • Payne Junior High School (tbd)
    • This location will host games for teams mostly from Chandler

**Baseball Kid Pitch (ages 10-12), Flag Football U13 (ages 11-12), Flag Football U15 (ages 13-14) and Softball Kid Pitch (girls 10-12) are only available at Desert Ridge Junior High, Mesquite Junior High and Newell Barney Junior High**

Practice locations and times will be determined by the coach, AZYS does not provide practice facilities. All Coaches are parent volunteers. Teams are formed by the closest school chosen during registration.

* We use your child's age on December 31, 2023 for division placement *

Please note - players are able to play up one age division but not down.  Parents and coaches are allowed to make Age Check Requests.  When they submit a request, the league will contact the parents of the child and request a birth certificate or other form of identification.

PRACTICE TIMES & LOCATIONS:

• All Coaches are parent volunteers. Practice times and locations are arranged at the coach's discretion. Each team practices when and where they choose. Practices are generally held outside.
• Each player is responsible for providing their own equipment; i.e., soccer ball, volleyball, basketball etc...
• *AZYS does not provide teams with practice locations

GAME PLAY FORMAT:

• Baseball - Rec style, Tournament style for oldest division only (beginner to advanced). Co-ed.
• Basketball – Tournament style (beginner to advanced), Rec style for younger divisions. Co-ed.
• Flag Football - Tournament style (beginner to advanced). Co-ed.
• Soccer - Rec style, Tournament style for older divisions only (beginner to advanced). Co-ed.
• Softball - Rec style, Tournament style for oldest division only (beginner to advanced). Girls only.
• Volleyball – Tournament style (beginner to advanced). Co-ed.

EQUIPMENT REQUIRED BY PARENTS:

• Baseball – Athletic pants/shorts, athletic shoes, glove and a batting helmet (required).
  • Bat and balls are optional, league provides practice equipment to coaches.
• Basketball – Mouthguard (recommended), athletic shorts/pants, athletic shoes and a basketball.
• Flag Football – Mouthguard (highly recommended), athletic shorts/pants, athletic shoes and a football.
  • Cleats are optional.
• Soccer – Shin guards (required), athletic shorts/pants, athletic shoes and a soccer ball.
  • Cleats and soccer socks are optional.
• Softball (Girls) – Athletic pants/shorts, athletic shoes, glove and a batting helmet (required).
  • Bat and balls are optional, league provides practice equipment to coaches.
• Volleyball – Knee pads (highly recommended, athletic shorts/pants, athletic shoes and a volleyball.

Team shirts are provided to all players and must be worn in order to participate on game days.

Please view the rules for the appropriately sized ball needed for your player.

COACHES:

All coaches are parent volunteers, we are always looking for coaches. Please consider volunteering to coach your child's team!

TRAVEL GAMES:

Many teams will play 1-2 away games during the season.  All games are in the East Valley.

REFUND POLICY:

Registration refunds may be issued if requested in writing BEFORE rosters are released, March 15, 2024.

Processing Fees are non-refundable.

Credits may be issued once rosters are released if requested in writing BEFORE , March 29, 2024.
